Spotlight Saturday: Bubbling Bath Salts

As some of you know, we are offering a donation on our bubbling bath salts this month.  20% of our proceeds are going to "Act of Faith" non-profit organization to help support families who have had a love one diagnosed with cancer.  I would like to tell you about our bubbling bath salts and what they can do for you.

Scentsational Gypsies Bubbling Bath Salts come in 4 different sizes and three different scents.

24 oz  and sample size on the top
24 oz is ~12 baths
Sample is ~1 bath
16 oz
approximately 6 baths

4 oz
approximately 2 baths
These  are a great solution for sore muscles.  All you need is a bathtub and water.  When you apply these to the water, you will notice fizzing just like with our Bath Bombs. This fizz feels therapeutic and relaxing. The Bubbling Bath Salts are made with Citric Acid, Baking Soda, Cornstarch, Coconut oil, Epsom Salt, and essential oils. We have the scents Lavender, Grapefruit, and Invigorating.  The difference between this recipe and the Bath Bomb recipe is the Epsom Salt.

  • Citric Acid treats uneven skin tones, unclogs pores, helps with acne.
  • Baking Soda exfoliates and pulls toxins from the skin.
  • Cornstarch helps remove fungus like athlete’s foot, and helps with itchy irritations.
  • Coconut Oil soothes dryness and is naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal.
  • Epsom Salt is good for pulling toxins from the skin and reducing the soreness in muscles.
We chose the scents Grapefruit, Lavender, and Invigorating for specific reasons. They include these reasons:
  • Grapefruit essential oil is good for removing impurities, stimulating the immune system.
  • Lavender is good for dry or chapped skin and helps with relaxation.
  • Invigorating essential oil blend has Rosemary, Peppermint, Lemon, Tea Tree, Juniper, and Cedarwood oils for a mixture of an uplifting feeling with a slow calming effect.

You will want to add ¼ of a cup to your full bath.  If you are not into baths, they are great for manicures and pedicures, too!  You will want to add one tablespoon to your small tub. We use dish tubs and bowls depending on the type of soak. If you are using personal bowls (your own dishes) make sure they are glass. The essential oils will soak into the plastic and you may get a taste of lavender while eating your salad!

Here at Scentsational Gypsies, we use dish tubs like this for our pedicures. They can hold both feet, keep your water warm, and are easy to clean out. We use our own personal glass salad bowls for our manicures.
