My name is Samantha. I am the co-founder/co-creator of ScentSational Gypsies. I have been a teacher for 7 years, first, second, and fifth grade. There was a time I would never have said that 5th grade is where I belong but here I am! I have been married to my husband for almost 4 glorious (most of the time) years. We have a four legged furry child named Tucker. He is the sweetest, smartest dog I have ever seen! I have always been a lover of music, books, and crafty items. My playlist varies depending on my mood. At any moment I can be listening to just about anything. I can go from Pearl Jam to Garth Brooks to Halestorm and anything in between. My novel list is not nearly as varying. I tend to stick to romance novels, unless I am reading for my 5th graders...then it is all about what a 5th grader can relate to. Wonder anyone??? My craftyness can go on and on for days. Painting, scrapbooking, art journaling, creating my own home decor and anything else that suits my fancy!
People always ask, "Why are you a teacher?" The short answer, I failed my original major. You can’t really be a Marine Biologist without passing Biology! But after some thought and deep conversation I decided that being with children and helping them in any way was my destiny. Now I look at it as a way to change something about our future. If I can get just one student to become their best person, then I have done my job. My kids inspire me to be better than I am. I have always wanted to find a way to help them when it comes to being healthy, which is why I became a coach for our school Fit Club. This has also inspired me to be find ways to use my oils for my kids. I think about how they could use them and how the oils could help them one day.
I began my oily journey in July of 2015. I was so tired of having allergies and I was ready to go to a doctor for just about anything! A friend of mine had been selling oils and I finally decided to try it. It had to be cheaper than getting an allergy test and getting whatever medications they would prescribe. So, she showed me how to mix up an allergy blend and it changed my life. I just roll on the Allergy Resistance 3.0 and BOOM within 20 minutes the crazy, itchy eyes and sneezy feelings are gone. The first time I thought it was a fluke...but I tried again and I ended up with the same results! I never thought this would be the case. But here we are almost a year later and I still use the Allergy Resistance 3.0!
ScentSational Gypsies came around when the other co-founder/co-creator came to me and said "Let's do this!" I have never been one to jump in quite like this but after all of the amazing things that I have learned about essential oils, I had no other choice. Head first, All in. I love the products we make, the benefits they bring to my life, and the ability to help others with the use of natural remedies. I have completely fallen in love with our sugar scrubs! The fact that I can exfoliate and wash at the same time is AMAZING! The scent is unbelievable and the benefits of the oils in the Sugar Cookie Sugar Scrub, especially the increased blood flow from the Cassia, is exactly what I have been looking for.
