Thirsty Thursday- Coconut Oil

Thirsty Thursdays are going to be dedicated to our thirst for knowledge.  

During the month of June we would like to highlight one of our favorite things ever, Coconut oil.  I know, I know! You are all thinking, "Oh great, one of those crazy people putting coconut oil onto everything."  You would be right!  Ha! This is why we are going to spend the next few Thursdays talking about this fantastic product.  

Why is Coconut Oil so great?

Many people are using it for cosmetic purposes and to improve the health and appearance of their skin and hair. Coconut oil can also be very protective against hair damage and one study shows effectiveness as sunscreen, blocking about 20% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays.  We don't recommend using only coconut oil for protection from the sun, but it will help on those days you forget to use your SPF.

Where Can I Find Coconut Oil In Your Products?

Almost all of the beauty products from Scentsational Gypsies contains coconut oil.  We include it in our Signature Sugar Scrubs, Signature Body Butters, Time in a Bottle Age Spot Cream, Signature Bath Bombs, Bubbling Bath Salts, Blister in the Sun After Sun Cream, Lip Scrubs, and even our Toothpaste! Yes, I know.  That's a lot of coconut oil.
